Cyprium Metals (ASX:CYM) said initial leaching and commissioning activities have achieved several key milestones and the heap leach area is ramping steadily toward operations at its Nifty Copper Complex in Western Australia, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The company said that grade control drilling confirms the existing resource block model within plus or minus 5%, and production infrastructure has been established, including 212 production and monitoring wells with onflow piping, and about 1.7 million tonnes of material in near-term leachable inventory.
Leaching at Pad 6 is rapidly achieving commissioning milestones, with target injection rates and volumes reached and copper recovered per tonne of acid consumed in line with expected leach chemistry, the filing said.
The company's shares fell 2% in recent Friday trade.
