Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI's head of public policy and global affairs, Sanghyun Lee, is leaving the company after six months on the job, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
Lee, who is based in Singapore, joined OpenAI in April after nearly seven years at Google, the report said, citing data from Lee's LinkedIn profile. He oversaw public policy and government engagement across Australia, Japan, South Korea, India and Southeast Asia, the report said.
The reasons for Lee's departure were not disclosed, Bloomberg reported.
OpenAI didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
