Wakita & Co.'s Fiscal H1 Profit Falls 7.2%

Wakita & Co.'s (TYO:8125) profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 7.2% to 1.59 billion yen for the six months ended Aug. 31, compared with 1.71 billion yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

The construction machinery distributor reported earnings per share of 31.96 yen, down from 34.66 yen a year earlier.

Net sales grew 9.2% to 48.8 billion yen from 44.7 billion yen in the year-ago period.

For the full fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, the company expects attributable profit to grow 4.3% to 3.60 billion yen, or 72.39 yen per share, and net sales of 100 billion yen, up 7.3%.

The company plans to pay a year-end dividend of 50 yen per share for the fiscal year.
