President Donald Trump posted on social media platform X on October 9, praising Mike Rogers, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan, for "completely obliterating" opponent Mohammad El-Sayed in the night's debate. "If this was a fight they would have stopped it," Trump wrote.
Trump further attacked El-Sayed, labeling him a "Jihadist lunatic" and accusing him of hating the country, the Black people of Detroit, and wanting to see the U.S. fail. He claimed El-Sayed's statements were "loaded up with lies and deceit" and described him as "short on Stature, Patriotism, and Truth."
Concluding the post, Trump asserted that he "won Michigan BIG" and declared Rogers to be "a total winner" and "the man for you."
