Euro Credit Default Protection Costs Fall as Sentiment Improves

0935 GMT - The cost of insuring euro-denominated credit against default declines as market sentiment improves after President Trump on Thursday said that the U.S.-Iran talks were progressing well. The announcement raised prospects of a potential solution to the Middle East conflict and calmed market nerves. The iTraxx Europe Crossover index of euro high yield credit default swaps falls 8 basis points to 308bps, S&P Global Market Intelligence data show.
