Kioxia Launches New High-Capacity SSD with Gen8 QLC for Data Centers

Kioxia (TYO:285A) unveiled a new high‑capacity Solid-State Drive (SSD) built with BiCS FLASH generation 8 QLC memory to meet rising data demand, according to a Friday Tokyo bourse filing.

The E1.L series features a single‑port design for hyperscale and data‑center servers, with capacities of 15.36 TB and 30.72 TB, and a validated architecture enabling up to 122.88 TB.

The drives are sampling to select customers and will be showcased at the 2026 OCP Global Summit in San Jose, California, from Oct. 12 to 15.
