Major digital assets rose Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping the $82,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.5%, the S&P 500 added 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.9%.
Bitcoin gained 0.6% to $82,206, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume dropped 46.4% to $24.75 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 0.5% to $2,475.
XRP (XRP-USD) gained 0.5%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 0.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) fell 0.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) increased 0.6%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 1.6%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.7% in the past 24 hours to $2.78 trillion, with trading volume dropping 39.5% to $73.1 billion.
