Energy stocks were mixed late Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index increasing 0.1% and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) easing 0.2%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index rose 0.3%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index added 0.9%.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil declined 0.4% to $91.12 a barrel, and global benchmark Brent shed 0.4% to $103.88 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures rose 1% to $3.20 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, South Bow (SOBO) shares were falling 2.4% in Friday trading after Barclays downgraded the stock to underweight from equalweight.
