0844 GMT - Airbus is on track to meet its commercial aircraft delivery goal for the year despite weaker-than-expected deliveries in the third quarter, RBC Capital Markets analysts write in a note to clients. The European plane maker dispatched 72 planes to customers in September and 196 in the third quarter, below consensus of 213 units. "We believe investors can appreciate that 3Q tends to be the lowest production quarter for Airbus," analysts say. Airbus has delivered 547 planes so far this year and is aiming for roughly 870 by the end of December. "We continue to view the 870 aircraft delivery target as achievable" despite the increase needed in the fourth quarter, analysts say. Airbus shares trade 0.3% higher at 187.90 euros.
