Activist Filings

Vail Resorts (MTN) DKR Oasis Management raised its stake in the ski resort operator to 3,223,435 shares. Oasis did so through the purchase of 599,523 Vail Resorts shares from Sept. 23 through Sept. 28 at per share prices ranging from $135.81 to $139.81.

The purchases came after Oasis notified Vail Resorts on Sept. 10 of its intent to nominate four director candidates at the 2026 annual meeting, including Robert Chapek and retired Olympic skier Picabo Street. Oasis contends that Vail's valuation relative to peers doesn't fully reflect its portfolio of 42 mountain resorts, and that a reconstituted board would sharpen the company's focus on guest experience, pricing strategy, marketing effectiveness, and fuller use of its hospitality assets.

Following the latest purchases, Oasis continues to own a 9% stake in Vail Resorts' outstanding stock. Shares of Vail Resorts have gained roughly 8.6% in value in 2026.
