1117 ET - Wealthier Americans have more money to spend, and they're increasingly putting it towards travel, Delta Air Lines Chief Executive Ed Bastian says during a call with analysts. Bastian says, "The top 40% of U.S. households, which make up the majority of Delta's customer base, are nearly $40 trillion wealthier than they were just a few years ago." He says they are increasingly prioritizing experiences, including travel. Those trends are helping Delta's premium growth remain robust, he says, while main cabin trends continue to improve.
