Polish Zloty Could Stay Weak if Central Bank Sounds Cautious over Tightening

0910 GMT - The Polish zloty could remain under pressure if Poland's central bank keeps interest rates unchanged and sounds cautious about future rate increases in a decision later in the day, Commerzbank's Tatha Ghose says in a note. Inflation accelerated to 4.0% in September, justifying a shift towards signalling future rate rises, he says. In comparison, the Czech National Bank is expected to raise rates in November with less inflation momentum than Poland. The National Bank of Poland "appears inclined to wait for projections and sit through the inflation overshoot if it could." The euro rises 0.2% to 24.412 zloty.
