EGH International's IPO Gets Oversubscribed By 2.63 Times

EGH International (KLSE:ECOGRP) initial public offering was 2.63 times oversubscribed by the Malaysian public, with 3,101 applications received for 131.33 million shares ahead of its planned listing on Bursa Malaysia's ACE Market.

The interior fit-out specialist's IPO comprises 240 million new shares, and an offer for sale of up to 120 million existing shares at 0.16 ringgit each, according to a Wednesday filing.

The Bumiputera portion was subscribed 1.64 times, while the other Malaysian public portion was subscribed 3.61 times. The 30 million shares reserved for eligible directors, employees and other contributors were fully subscribed, while the 280 million institutional shares were fully placed.

Notices of allotment are expected to be mailed to successful applicants by Oct. 15.
