Market Chatter: Brookfield Asset Management to Acquire ESR India's Portfolio for $444 Million

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) will acquire and develop ESR India's warehousing-focused portfolio for about 43 billion Indian rupees ($444 million), Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Under the terms, Brookfield will acquire eight industrial parks across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-National Capital Region, Chennai, and Kolkata, according to the report.

Additionally, ESR India will continue to manage the portfolio, Bloomberg said.

Brookfield Asset Management and ESR India did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
