Shyam Metalics Signs MoU for Maharashtra Steel Project

Shyam Metalics and Energy (NSE:SHYAMMETL, BOM:543299) signed a non-binding MoU with the Maharashtra government to set up a 9 million-ton-a-year integrated steel complex in Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
The project, estimated at 500 billion Indian rupees, is expected to create about 30,000 jobs. Work is planned to start in fiscal 27, subject to required approvals and clearances.
