U.S. President Trump posted on social media platform X on August 25, accusing Canada of 'ripping off' the U.S. for decades, charging U.S. farmers tariffs of up to 400% and driving many U.S. companies out of business.

Trump said that Canada had refused to certify Gulfstream Jets for 10 years until he became involved, and that Canada wanted 100% of the market for Gulfstream's Canadian competitor.

'I deal with many countries, and Canada is easily the most difficult and unreasonable,' Trump wrote. He added that Canada feels entitled but is not a state and 'will be entitled no longer.'
