Blackstone (BX) has received European Commission approval to acquire joint control of Eurowind Energy alongside Denmark's Norlys and EWE Holding, the Commission said Wednesday.

The transaction covers the development, construction and operation of wind and solar farms in Europe, electricity wholesale, balancing and ancillary services, and renewable energy solutions, the Commission said.

The Commission said the deal would not raise competition concerns given the companies' limited market positions.
