Huawei has proposed building artificial intelligence centers in Egypt for military, surveillance and public sector use, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Chinese tech company plans to complete infrastructure within 12 months and export 1,408 Ascend 950‑series chips to train Cairo's AI cloud and 600 chips for inference clusters, the report said.

Huawei did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. The Egyptian Foreign Affairs Ministry was not immediately available for comment.
