Bank of China Applies for Listing of $40 Billion Medium-Term Bond Program

Bank of China (SHA:601988, HKG:3988) applied for the listing of a $40 billion medium-term bond program on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to a Monday bourse filing.
The lender's Hong Kong shares rose 1% during Tuesday's morning trade.
The listing is expected to be effective on Aug. 25, Tuesday.
The bonds may be issued within 12 months after Aug. 24, Monday.
