A state-owned entity established to oversee Indonesia's commodity exports disclosed appointments to its boards of directors and commissioners.
Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia's chief executive, Luke Mahony, will lead the board of directors, the entity said late Monday.
The four-member board of directors also includes DSI's director of finance and treasury, Sinthya Roesly, who was previously chief financial officer of state power firm Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
Meanwhile, the board of commissioners is led by Cipung Noer. The four-member board of commissioners also includes Tony Wenas, president director of Freeport Indonesia, and Mari Elka Pangestu, vice chair of Indonesia's National Economic Council.
DSI was set up in May as the export-control arm of Danantara, the Indonesian sovereign-wealth fund managing around $1 trillion in assets.
In over two months, DSI has established analytical visibility across more than $14 billion of Indonesia's strategic commodity exports, it said.
Mahony recently told The Wall Street Journal that DSI's five-year plan is still being drafted.
The successful implementation of DSI's efforts could help increase state revenues while enhancing Indonesia's leverage in shaping global pricing for its major export commodities, said Maybank Sekuritas's head of research, Jeffrosenberg Chenlim.
This could support higher export receipts and help Indonesia build a stronger foreign-exchange reserve position, Chenlim added.
