InterContinental Hotels Group Signs 14-Hotel Portfolio Conversion Deal With GCP Hospitality

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) signed a 14-hotel portfolio conversion deal with GCP Hospitality, a unit of Gaw Capital Group, according to a Monday statement.
No financial details were disclosed. The deal will see the conversion of 12 Garner hotels, one Holiday Inn Express, and one unbranded hotel in Kyoto, and their addition to the InterContinental group, the company said.
InterContinental plans to open the hotels in phases after renovations and rebranding over the next year, according to the statement.
