Rumble Resources (ASX:RTR) engaged a preferred contractor for pit dewatering at its Western Queen gold and tungsten project in Western Australia, with pumps and pipework ordered and a formal agreement being finalised, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said a groundwater extraction license was recently granted by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, with the mine development and closure proposal the last outstanding major approval.

Subject to positive results from an updated scoping study and receipt of acceptable indicative financing terms, Rumble intends to proceed to a bankable feasibility study to support a decision to mine, targeting the December quarter, the filing added.

The company's shares rose 6% in recent Monday trade.
