Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) is partnering with Xiaomi to make a new version of the Chinese smartphone maker's Xring handset processor, Reuters reported Monday, citing unnamed sources.
Taiwan Semiconductor will manufacture the chip using its 3-nanometre production technology, the report said.
The chip is expected to power Xiaomi's soon-to-be-released folding phone, the report said.
Taiwan Semiconductor and Xiaomi did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
