Buckle's 2Q Profit Slips, Revenue Rises

Buckle's second-quarter profit edged lower despite a rise in revenue.

The apparel retailer on Friday posted net income of $44.4 million, or 88 cents a share, compared with $45 million, or 90 cents a share, in the same quarter a year ago.

Net sales rose 4.6% to $319.8 million, benefiting from 2.1% growth in comparable store sales.

Online sales ticked up 2.3%.
