Amazon's (AMZN) Zoox has begun offering paid driverless robotaxi rides in San Francisco and Las Vegas, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

The all-electric taxis can carry up to four passengers and are designed to drive in either direction, the report said.

US regulators last month have authorized Zoox to charge for rides in up to 5,000 vehicles over the next two years, with restrictions including limits on weather and road conditions, according to the report.

Amazon did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment
