Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was 19.74 billion renminbi, up from 18.27 billion renminbi a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 20.50 billion renminbi.
For Q3, the company expects revenue between 21.7 billion renminbi and 23.4 billion renminbi. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect 26.69 billion renminbi.
XPeng shares were down 1% in premarket activity.
