Zhuzhou Smelter (SHA:600961) posted first-half attributable net profit of 1.95 billion yuan, up 233% from 585.4 million yuan the previous year.
Earnings per share rose to 1.80 yuan from 0.51 yuan, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Operating revenue rose 36% year over year to 14.2 billion yuan from 10.4 billion yuan.
Shares of the smelting company were down 6% Wednesday.
