Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' (TEVA) US affiliate Teva Pharmaceuticals said Wednesday the US Food and Drug Administration has accepted its new drug application for ecopipam to potentially treat children with Tourette syndrome.

The regulator has set a target action date for late in Q1 of 2027, the company said.

The application is supported by phase 2b and phase 3 data, which showed a reduction in tic severity and sustained efficacy, Teva said.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries shares were up 1.8% in premarket activity Wednesday.
