Stocks in Singapore fell Tuesday, as the FTSE Straits Times Index declined 1.16% to 5701.40.
Among local companies with a market cap of at least 1 billion Singapore dollars ($782.6 million), AEM SGD was the biggest laggard, dropping 4.96%, followed by shares of ULTRAGREEN AI SGD, which fell 3.77%. Shares of Frencken fell 3.26%.
China Aviation Oil was the biggest leader during the session, rising 3.8%, and Hutchison Port Hldgs Tr increased 2.7%. Pan-United rounded out the top three movers, as shares rose 2.5%.
On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index was flat at 96.01. The U.S. dollar held steady against the Singapore dollar at S$1.28.
In the bond markets, the 10-year Singaporean government bond yield increased 6 basis points to 2.360%.
