American Express Adds St Andrews Links Trust to Sports Partnership Portfolio

American Express (AXP) said Wednesday that it will become the official payments partner of St Andrews Links Trust, expanding its global sports partnership portfolio.
The payments company said eligible platinum and centurion card members in select countries will get access to an Amex-exclusive application process for a chance to purchase golf packages at select St Andrews courses next year, including the iconic Old Course.
The application process opens next Wednesday for eligible Centurion members and Sept. 2 for eligible Platinum members, the company said.
Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
