Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) said target definition work at High Range North and Northwest at its Mangaroon gold project in Western Australia defined multiple strong gold-in-soil anomalies and silver-arsenic-molybdenum-antimony-tellurium pathfinder anomalism over about 20 kilometers of strike associated with major structures, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said this represents the first gold exploration in the area despite historical prospecting evidence and geological similarities to the original Bangemall Goldfield at Cobra.

Detailed mapping and additional surface sampling will be undertaken to define and prioritise targets for discovery drilling by the end of 2026 or the start of 2027, with remaining soil and stream sediment sample results expected throughout August and September, the filing added.

The company's shares rose 7% in recent Wednesday trade.
