American Financial Group Raises Quarterly Dividend by 10%

American Financial Group's board has raised the insurance holding company's quarterly dividend by 10%, to 97 cents from 88 cents.

The new payout, equal to $3.88 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.71% based on Wednesday's closing price of $143.29, up from 2.46%.

The Cincinnati company on Thursday said it will begin paying the increased dividend rate in October.
