Singapore private home sales rose last month as developers resumed project launches after the June school holidays.
Developers sold 731 units in July, excluding executive condominiums, more than quadruple the figure in June, the Urban Redevelopment Authority said Monday. That was still lower than the 940 units sold in July 2025.
Around four projects were launched last month, with 889 units up for sale, Huttons Asia Chief Executive Mark Yip said in an email. Developers likely paused their launches in June due to the city-state's school holidays, he said.
Yip expects the number of project launches to return to zero in August, when the lunar seventh month begins. The seventh month of the lunar calendar is generally considered an inauspicious time for property purchases.
The absence of August launches is likely to weigh on sales. Yip expects 150 to 250 units to be sold this month.
However, sales could pick up thereafter, with the total number of units sold for the year reaching between 7,500 and 9,000 units, he said.
