The China Gold Association slammed the suspensions of a number of Chinese companies from a global industry standard following its inclusion in a U.S. government list of alleged forced labor violators, according to a statement released Tuesday.

Gold miner Shandong Gold Mining (SHA:600547) and unit Shandong Gold Smelting were among the Chinese companies added to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act list on Aug. 3.

The London Bullion Market Association also suspended Shandong Gold from its good delivery list.

The gold industry bond said the claims of forced labor are "completely false," adding the inclusion on the U.S. list politicizes human rights, it said.

The China Gold Association also said suspension from the LBMA hurts the interests of Chinese gold copanies and undermines gold market operations worldwide.
