SkyCity Entertainment Group (ASX:SKC, NZE:SKC) is considering restructuring its operations, which could lead to 200 roles being affected, media reports said on Thursday.

The company is reviewing its operating model in the face of "sustained pressure on customers' discretionary spending" in New Zealand and Australia, partly due to the economic impact of the Middle East conflict, SkyCity Chief Executive Jason Walbridge said in an emailed statement to MT Newswires.

The company is "reshaping how our people are deployed across the group, so we're simpler, smarter and more connected," Walbridge added.

However, no decisions have been made, and the casino operator will consult with its people before making a decision, Walbridge said.

The restructuring would mainly be in the company's operations in Auckland, Radio New Zealand said in its report.
