Activist investor Carl Icahn reported some notable second-quarter stock moves in a regulatory filing Friday.

Through his various entities with several billion in assets, he unloaded large stakes in JetBlue Airways and utility company American Electric Power.

He reduced his holdings in JetBlue, which has been hit harder than other major U.S. airlines amid rising oil prices, by nearly 13 million shares. That lowered his holdings in the airline as of the end of June by around $30 million to $118 million total.

His biggest cut in the second quarter was to his holdings of American Electric Power, which he trimmed by 770,590 shares worth $100 million. A Barron's stock pick back in April, shares of the Columbus, Ohio-based utility are up around 9% this year versus the S&P 500's nearly 14% gain.

Icahn mostly held steady with his other reported equity holdings, the largest of which is in CVR Energy, a petroleum refining and nitrogen fertilizer company based in Sugar Land, Texas. While the value of Icahn's holdings in CVR fell by about 18% in the second quarter to $1.86 billion, the stock has outperformed the broader market this year, rising nearly 40%.
