Novosense Microelectronics Flags Over 88 Million Yuan in H1 Impairment

Suzhou Novosense Microelectronics (SHA:688052, HKG:2676) recorded total impairment provisions of 88.2 million yuan for the first half, according to a Friday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The charges consisted mainly of 72.0 million yuan in inventory write-downs and 15.3 million yuan in accounts receivable provisions, partially offset by a 108,400 yuan reversal for notes receivable.
Shares of the fabless chip manufacturer jumped nearly 9% in recent trading in Hong Kong and 4% in Shanghai.
