Zenas BioPharma is searching for a new finance chief.
The company on Thursday said Jennifer Fox will leave her current role as chief financial and business officer, transitioning to the role of strategic adviser to the board chair, effective Sept. 30.
Joe Farmer, who currently serves as president and chief operating officer, will serve as principal financial officer and principal accounting officer until the appointment of a new finance chief, Zenas BioPharma said.
The leadership update came as Zenas BioPharma said its second-quarter loss widened to $111.5 million, or $1.77 a share, from a loss of $52.2 million, or $1.25 a share, in the prior-year period. Total revenue ticked up to $1 million from nil.
Chief Executive Lonnie Moulder said the company is actively preparing for the potential commercialization of its first product, continuing to execute across its portfolio and make progress toward its vision of becoming a fully integrated, global development and commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company.
