Hikari Tsushin's Attributable Profit Rises 30% in Fiscal Q1

Hikari Tsushin (TYO:9435) posted a 30% year-over-year increase in attributable profit for the fiscal first quarter to 36.7 billion yen from 28.2 billion yen.

Earnings per share were 837.08 yen, compared with 640.60 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

Revenue rose 15% to 192.6 billion yen from 167.2 billion yen for the three months ended June 30.

The office automation and telecommunication company declared an interim dividend of 200 yen per share, payable from Sept. 11.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 120.0 billion yen, basic EPS of 2,742.77 yen, and revenue of 775.0 billion yen.

The company plans to pay second-quarter, third-quarter and year-end dividends of 200 yen per share each for the current year, which is higher from the year-ago period.

Shares of the company rose more than 1% in recent trade.
