Medallion Metals (ASX:MM8) said a slimline reverse circulation drill program at the Lounge Lizard deposit, located within the Forrestania gold project in Western Australia, returned significant high-grade intercepts, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The intercepts include three meters at 3.61 grams per tonne grade of gold from 112 meters; five meters at 5.8 g/t from 106 meters; two meters at 5.05 g/t from 147 meters; six meters at 2.26 g/t from 111 meters; and eight meters at 1.41 g/t from 117 meters.

The results validate previous drilling at Lounge Lizard, with re-assays averaging around 20% higher across the tested intervals, the company said.

It added that a roughly 6,700-meter combined diamond and reverse circulation drilling program started in August to confirm and extend Lounge Lizard mineralization.
