HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (KRX:329180) has signed a $673.8 million contract with Corban Energy Group to supply 9.6-MW HiMSEN power generation engines totalling 1,000 MW for U.S. data centers.

This marks the company's largest-ever power engine order, following a $425 million deal with Aperion Energy Group in April, and the HiMSEN engines are prized for high efficiency and 24/7 operational reliability, according to a company statement on Sunday.

The two firms plan to expand cooperation on follow-on projects, capitalizing on surging U.S. data center power demand driven by AI and cloud investments.

HD Hyundai is mobilizing group-wide efforts, including floating data center tech development and related power distribution and maintenance services, to strengthen its market position.
