Lenovo Group is scheduled to report fiscal first-quarter results on Thursday. Here is what you need to know:

NET PROFIT: The world's largest maker of personal computers is expected to post adjusted net profit of $617 million for the three months ended June, according to a FactSet poll of eight analysts, up 59% from a year earlier. Lenovo's reported net profit could be hit by a nonrecurring fair-value loss of around $1.7 billion, analysts said, following a sharp appreciation in its shares to 23.02 Hong Kong dollars at the end of the quarter, while its ALAT warrant has a HK$11.92 strike price.

REVENUE: Revenue likely rose 19% to $22.33 billion, according to the FactSet poll.

Lenovo's shares surged more than 150% in the June quarter after stellar fiscal fourth-quarter results. Lenovo reported its fastest revenue growth in years for the three months ended March, and its net profit soundly beat market expectations. Building on the momentum, the company has set its sights on $100 billion in annual revenue--a goal it expects to achieve in the next two years.

WHAT TO WATCH:

--Nvidia announced a new AI chip for personal computers in June that will be included in a new line of Windows PCs made by sellers, including Lenovo. Investors will look for more updates from management on the timeline of the new AI PC rollout.

--Surging memory prices have been weighing on demand for consumer electronics. While analysts reckon that Lenovo can pass on higher memory costs and focus more on premium products to support margin resilience, any management comments on its plan to navigate the headwind will be a focus.

--Lenovo's infrastructure solutions segment, previously a drag on margins, delivered its highest-ever quarterly revenue and operating profit in the fourth quarter thanks to a strengthened business model, the recent restructuring and robust AI demand. Investors will likely pay close attention to the company's updates on its server business.
