1147 ET - Take-Two Interactive Software's Grand Theft Auto series continues to drive results for the company, and momentum isn't expected to slow anytime soon given the new game on the horizon, Benchmark analyst Mike Hickey says. He estimates that Take-Two's FY27 outlook likely assumes sales of about 30 million units of Grand Theft Auto VI, and he sees a meaningful upside to that estimate citing unprecedented preorder trends. As it stands, though, continued delay concerns around the upcoming game appear to be weighing on the stock. "GTA VI: An Extended Look moved to August 27 and Take-Two unusually reported Friday morning on August 7," Hickey writes, "suggesting to us the preview may originally have been planned earlier." That's just an inference, though, Hickey says, adding that he remains confident in the game's Nov. 19 release date and views the modest timing risk as largely irrelevant to the multi-year financial opportunity.
