The Singapore Exchange (SGX) is looking to broaden its exchange-traded fund (ETF) offerings and deepen cross-market partnerships as it seeks to strengthen its position as Southeast Asia's multi-asset exchange, CEO Loh Boon Chye told Bloomberg in a recent interview.

Loh said the exchange could also consider single-stock and leveraged products if market demand warrants them. The exchange currently offers 53 ETFs with over SG$21 billion in assets under management, according to the report.

The bourse launched its first physical gold ETF in March and plans to list an active ETF tracking the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index in September, Bloomberg said.
