Lycopodium (ASX:LYL) has secured an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract valued at around AU$93 million to support Artemis Gold's expanded phase two (EP2) development at the Blackwater Mine in British Columbia, Canada, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The expansion will add 13 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of processing capacity to the existing phase 1A project, increasing total mine throughput to 21 Mtpa, per the filing.

The company has provided EPCM services for the delivery of phase 1A and contributed to the early stages of the EP2 development by preparing the feasibility study and delivering front-end engineering and design services for the new plant, the filing said.

The company said EP2 early works are progressing well, with plant site earthworks underway and the first concrete pour for the ball mill foundations completed ahead of schedule, the filing added.
