0159 GMT - Nickel Industries continues to transition from a nickel pig iron producer to a more diversified Indonesian nickel producer, says Morgan Stanley. The company is benefiting from revised Excelsior Nickel Cobalt project acquisition terms, planned downstream investments and a debt refinancing, says MS. The bank raises its target on the stock to 80 Australian cents a share, from A$0.65 previously. Still, it reiterates an equal-weight rating. MS expects nickel prices to fall short of market expectations over the next few years. "The operating environment remains challenging due to ongoing global nickel oversupply," it says. That drives "a more conservative base-case outlook." Shares in Nickel Industries are down 1.2% at A$0.81.
