Boticelli Foods Recalls a Pistachio Nut Butter Item Sold at Walmart Due to Salmonella Risk

Boticelli Foods said it recalled one lot of pistachio nut butter sold under Walmart's Bettergoods brand due to the risk of salmonella.

Boticelli, based in Melville, N.Y., imports the item, which is manufactured by Gustibus Alimentari Srl of Assoro, Italy. The company said it isn't aware of any illnesses and that the recall followed a positive salmonella test during a routine inspection in Florida.

The pistachio nut butter was distributed to Walmart stores in 19 states. It is a 6.7-ounce glass jar with UPC 194346207961 and Lot Code LB028ACP04, with an expiration date of Jan. 28, 2027.
