BMC Minerals (ASX:BMC) received a type B water license in July from the Yukon Water Board in Canada for its proposed ABM Mine at the domestic Kudz Ze Kayah project, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The license is valid for 25 years and allows for the extraction of potable water and disposal of wastewater from the camp during construction, operation, reclamation, and final project closure, per the filing.

The company also secured a five-year class 3 quartz mining land use approval from the Yukon Department of Energy, Mines and Resources for continued exploration work at the Kudz Ze Kayah mineral tenure.

BMC Minerals' cash balance decreased by AU$9.6 million during the June quarter to AU$50.3 million.

The company's shares fell 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
