TELUS Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Operating Revenue Decline; Dividend Cut

TELUS (TU) reported Q2 adjusted earnings of 0.16 Canadian dollars ($0.11) per basic share, down from CA$0.22 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected CA$0.20.

Operating revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was CA$4.93 billion, compared with CA$5.08 billion a year earlier.

Analysts expected CA$5.05 billion.

The company cut its 2026 service revenue forecast to between flat and a 2% decline, from its previous growth estimate of 2% to 4%.

TELUS board also approved a quarterly dividend of $0.1875 per share, down from $0.4184 in the previous quarter, payable Oct. 1 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 10.

TELUS shares were down more than 8% premarket Friday.
