1513 GMT - Yields on U.K. government bonds, or gilts, fall after the Bank of England interest-rate decision, boosting gilts' performance relative to their U.S. and eurozone equivalents. The BOE left interest rates on hold at 3.75% as widely expected, with six members in favor versus three members who preferred to raise interest rates. The BOE said that so far there is little sign of second-order inflation effects, calming market concerns about aggressive BOE rate increases later in 2026. Ten-year gilt yields fall 1.2 basis points on the day to last trade at 5.006%, while U.S. 10-year Treasury yields are up 4.9bps to 4.671%, Tradeweb data show. German 10-Year Bund yields rise 2.3bp to last trade at 3.171%.
